Heaven is For Real.

Today I was just hanging out in my house when I saw a book on the table. It was called, Heaven is For Real by Todd Burpo. It had my grandma's name written in it and I remembered hearing her talk about a little boy going to heaven. I am a closet reader...I love reading, I really do, but I never take the time to do it. I knew as soon as I picked the book up that I wouldn't put it down until I was finished. And I was right, this book was pretty awesome I must say. Just the reminder of the childlike faith we need to have and to trust in God regardless of how terrible the circumstances may seem. It makes dying and going to heaven even more exciting. The thing I probably enjoyed the most though, was the picture of Jesus the little girl Akiane painted.
Something about this painting is just so comforting and beautiful. Well, obviously you can tell exactly why that is....but I am glad this book was sitting on the table because it was a great read and an awesome reminder that Jesus loves the little children and we don't need to use fancy words to share what we believe...when it comes down to it, we should just say exactly what we mean.
