This is an old tidbit, but easily forgotten. Here's what Sarah's mom told us:
Boys who move fast and aren't willing to be patient or wait for the right timing...usually have a back up plan. They are more likely to cheat, lead you on, or pressure you. They are more concerned with what they want than with God's plan or your well-being. Their desires are selfish, rather than formed around God's truth.
The ones who are careful, cautious, and seek wisdom from others- not just because they are 'supposed' to seek wisdom, but they listen wholeheartedly to the advice they are given. And they ask because they want a truthful answer, not just the answer they want to hear. Those cautious boys are being genuine. They care about you and God's plan more than they care about their desires and what they can get out of the process.
I can't wait to meet a cautious boy.
