Renew.

Psalm 27:14 -- Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Ephesians 4:20-24 -- But that isn't want you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God-- truly righteous and holy.

We don't have to know the answers. We don't have to be strong enough. We don't have to do it on our own. Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. He'll help you.

Matthew 7:7 -- Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Ask for wisdom. Seek the truth. Knock on opportunities.
Ask God to change your perspective. Seek deeper friendships. Knock on opportunities.

God wants to be found by you and he wants you to be freed of your sin.

Galatians 5:1 -- So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Galatians 5:16-17 -- So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

Galatians 5:19-23 -- When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Romans 12:2 -- Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

We don't need God to change our circumstances; we just need to allow Him to change our attitude.
